TxDMV Regional Service Centers provide specific services to the public, including:
- Replacement Titles
- Bonded Title Rejection Letters
- Apportioned Registration (IRP Credentials and Temporary Operating Authority for Established Accounts)
- Investigating and Resolving Texas Title Errors
- Vehicle Transfer Notifications
- Title History Inquiries
TxDMV accepts cash, checks, and money orders as payment.
Office Hours and Locations
Effective April 15, 2021, customers without appointments are eligible for service at all 16 department offices. Customers with appointments will receive priority, so appointments are encouraged. All other customers will receive service on a first come, first serve basis depending on their service request.
Dealers, title service companies and their "runners" are not eligible to book appointments. These entities are eligible for in-person, walk-in services effective April 15, 2021, or may mail or drop off transactions for service. Some offices may limit the quantity of transactions which may be processed at one time by these entities.
