It is the mission and duty of the El Paso Police Department Auto Theft Task Force to reduce the burglary & vehicle theft rate and victimization of the citizens of El Paso through investigation, apprehension and prosecution of auto thieves. We also educate the public on auto burglary & theft, auto burglary & theft prevention, and work in team with the business community and with Mexican officials in an effort to combat auto theft on an international level.
