Love joined TxDMV as Director of the Government and Strategic Communications Division in October 2014. She joined us from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) where she started in 2005 in the Government and Business Enterprises Division in the State Legislative Affairs Section. During her time as a state legislative liaison, she managed TxDOT’s involvement in the Sunset Review process, analyzed state legislative initiatives and coordinated with department leadership, elected officials and stakeholders on agency priorities. Starting in 2011, Love served as a senior advisor to the Texas Transportation Commission where she managed projects and advised the Commission on policy considerations, major projects and agency operating strategies.
Before TxDOT, Love was an analyst and liaison for HillCo Partners LLC, an Austin public and government affairs consulting firm, where she supported public policy, communications, and regulatory efforts. She has also worked as an advisor to former Texas State Representative Tony Goolsby and on the George W. Bush for President Campaign.
Caroline holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Loyola University of Chicago and was excited to watch them in the 2018 Final Four Tournament in San Antonio. She currently lives in Austin and enjoys spending time with her family.
