    Bryan District, All Counties, All State Maintained Highways 08-08-16 Over 17' high:
  • The mover must contact Bryan District 24 hours prior to moving in any county within Bryan District by calling during the business hours of 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM Monday through Friday: (979) 778-9749 or email anytime: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The mover must provide the permit number associated with their load
  • The mover must use a TxDOT approved signal contractor to disconnect, temporarily raise, and reconnect any overhead mast arm or span wire assemblies. The signal mast arms must not be pushed up by the mover's signal contractor without unbolting them from the signal pole. This work will be performed to satisfaction of TxDOT.
  • All costs will be the responsibility of the mover.
  • Brazos County, City of Bryan 05-19-15 Over 15' high: The mover must contact the City of Bryan Public Works 24 hours prior to entering the Bryan city limits: (979) 209-5900.
    Any vehicle requiring Bryan Police Department assistance: The mover must call 24 hours prior to entering Bryan city limits: (979) 209-5300.
    This includes, but not limited to, the sections of SH6, SH21, and FM2818 inside the Bryan city limits.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Brazos County, Cities of Bryan and College Station 07-02-10 No permits on all highways inside the loop formed by FM2818 and SH6.
    This restriction does not affect SH21 through Bryan.

    09-17-12 Curfew: 16'6" max height and/or 254,000 lbs GVW in the Bryan and College Station city limits during the hours of 07:00 - 08:30 AM and 03:30 - 06:00 PM.
    Brazos County, Woodville Rd over US190 in Bryan 09-25-12 In Bryan: 10' max width and/or 65' max length over US190.
    Woodville Rd is located approximately ¾ mile north of FM974.
    Brazos County, SH6 WFR 03-03-17 In Bryan-College Stattion: 16' max width on the WFR between SH21 and Old Reliance Rd/Martin Luther King Jr St.
    Old Reliance Rd/Martin Luther King Jr St is located approximately ¾ miles south of SH21.
    Brazos County, SH6 SB Ramps 03-03-17 In Bryan-College Stattion: No permits on all SB Exit and Entrance Ramps between SH21 and Old Reliance Rd/Martin Luther King Jr St.
    Old Reliance Rd/Martin Luther King Jr St is located approximately ¾ miles south of SH21.
    Brazos County, SH21 WB 08-25-17 In Bryan: 18' max width westbound between ¼ mile east of SH47 and Luza Ln.
    Luza Ln is located just west of SH47.

    Brazos, Grimes, and Washington Counties, SH105 02-24-16 Over 12' wide: Law enforcement escorts are required to stop traffic when the load crosses the Navasota River, Brazos River, and the Coles Creek between FM1155 and FM379.
    Brazos and Robertson Counties, FM50 02-06-13 Curfew: No width between E.SH21 and US79 from 07:00 - 08:00 AM and 03:00 - 05:00 PM Monday through Friday.

    Freestone County, FM833 EB to SH75 NB 04-21-11 100' max length traveling FM833 EB to SH75 NB.
    Grimes County, Navasota Truck Route 05-07-98 In Navasota Must use the designated truck route which is jointly approved by TxDOT and the local jurisdictions.
    The truck route consists of: SH6, BS6 between FM379 and SP515, BS6 between N.SH6 and FM3090, FM379, SP515, Blackshear St, and 5th St.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Grimes County, SH6 09-14-17 All overwidth vehicles are under the following conditions between the Waller/Grimes County line and 1 mile south of S.SH105:
  • All overwidth vehicles: Law enforcement escorts are required.
  • Curfew: 12' max width during the hours of 07:00 AM and 07:00 PM.
  • Grimes County, JCT SH6 & FM1227 02-14-13 No lowboy type trailers for all turns at JCT SH6 & FM1227.
    Grimes County, JCT SH6 & SH90/N.SH105 04-15-15 No permits for the following turns at JCT SH6 & SH90/N.SH105:

    Grimes County, FM362 04-13-11 No lowboy type trailers over the railroad crossings just south of SH105.

    05-01-17 12' max width between FM39 and Plum St in Bedias.
    Plum St is located just east of FM2620.
    This restriction also affects SH90 where it is double signed with FM1696.

    Grimes County, FM3090 01-17-17 No permits between FM3455 and FM149.
    Grimes County, FM3090 01-19-17 12' max width between FM149 and FM244.

    Leon County, IH45 WFR 11-26-07 100' max length on the WFR between OSR and FM977.

    Leon County, SH7 08-11-97 Must not use county roads to detour the 16'6" overhead railroad structure in Concord.

    Leon County, SH7 09-14-17 10'6” max width and/or no weight between IH45 and FM39.
    Leon County, SH7 04-19-17 12' max width and/or no weight between Rusk St in Centerville and 3 ¾ miles east of FM1511.
    Rusk St is located approximately ⅛ mile east of SH75.
    Leon County, SH7 09-30-99 Over 12' wide must have a flagman to warn oncoming traffic when crossing the center of the Trinity River Bridge located at the Houston/Leon County Line.

    Leon County, FM3 02-10-15 12' max width between FM39 and FM977.

    Leon, Grimes, and Madison Counties, FM39 08-03-15 Permission: Permitted vehicles that cannot reduce axle weights for 58,420 lbs GVW Load Zoned highways may travel on FM39 only if the load has an origin or destination on FM39.
    Madison County, US190/SH21 06-09-00 12' max width between FM978 and SH75.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Madison County, SH21 09-30-99 Over 12' wide: A flagman is required to warn oncoming traffic while the load travels on the center of the bridge to cross the Trinity River at the Houston/Madison County line.

    Madison County, SH75 09-13-07 14'5" max height between SH90 and N.IH45.

    This is due to low lights and lines.
    Madison County, OSR 05-07-98 Lowboy type trailers must use caution at the railroad crossing just east of FM39.
    Madison, Grimes, and Leon Counties, FM39 08-03-15 Permission: Permitted vehicles that cannot reduce axle weights for 58,420 lbs GVW Load Zoned highways may travel on FM39 only if the load has an origin or destination on FM39.
    Madison County, FM978 08-23-07 Lowboy type trailers must use caution over railroad crossing just east of FM39.
    Madison County, FM1372 08-23-07 Lowboy type trailers must use caution over railroad crossing just east of FM39.
    Madison County, SP104 01-06-99 No permits between SH75 and IH45.

    Milam County, US190/SH36 05-06-15 Over 12' wide: Front and rear law enforcement escorts are required between the Bell/Milam County line and W.FM1915.
  • The law enforcement escorts must control traffic when the load travels under the UP Railroad bridge located just east of the Bell/Milam County line.
  • The mover must contact TxDOT's Milam County Maintenance Office at least one business day prior to entering this restriction: (254) 697-6629.
  • The mover must provide the TxDOT Maintenance Office the names and cell phone numbers of the escorts.
  • Milam County, FM1444 05-30-13 No weight between US77 and FM1445.
    Milam County, FM1445 05-30-13 No weight between FM1444 and the Falls/Milam County line.
    Robertson County, US79/SH6 06-17-93 19' max width and/or 16'5" max height between N.FM391 and FM485.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Robertson County, JCT US79 & FM46 04-27-17 15' max height for the following maneuvers at JCT US79 & FM46.

  • Robertson County, FM46 07-05-04 No lowboy type trailers with 09" or less clearance crossing the railroad tracks located between US79 and FM2446.
    Robertson and Brazos Counties, FM50 02-06-13 Curfew: No width between E.SH21 and US79 from 07:00 - 08:00 AM and 03:00 - 05:00 PM Monday through Friday.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Robertson County, FM50 02-08-01 No lowboy type trailers with 09" or less clearance crossing the railroad tracks 1/4 mile south of US79.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Robertson County, FM979 07-31-00 Over 12' wide: Front and rear escorts are required between E.FM46 and W.FM46.
    Robertson County, FM1644 06-04-12 No lowboy type trailers over the railroad crossing just east of N.SH6.
    Robertson County, FM1644 12-18-00 No permits between FM46 and 1 mile west.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Walker County, City of Huntsville 08-14-98 All loads must be routed around the City of Huntsville by using IH45, SH19, FM2821 and a section of N.SH75 from N.IH45, south to W.US190.
    Any permit load with an origin or destination inside the loop formed by these highways must have approval from the Bryan District Permit Coordinator.

    Walker County, IH45 WFR 08-02-17 The WFR is restricted as follows:
  • NB: No permits northbound between SH150 and 1 ¾ miles north of SH150.
  • SB:10' max width southbound between 1 ¾ miles north of SH150 and SH150.
  • Walker County, JCT US190 & FM405 11-03-08 All lowboy type trailers: Must use caution for the following maneuvers at JCT US190 & FM405:
  • FM405 SB to US190 EB
  • FM405 SB to US190 WB
  • Walker County, SH150/S.FM1374 over IH45 06-12-17 No permits over IH45.
    Walker County, FM980 08-13-14 No lowboy type trailers over the railroad crossing between Front St and Hill St/Lake Rd in Riverside.
    Front St and Hill St/Lake Rd are located approximately ¼ mile east of SH19.
    Walker County, FM2296 09-01-17 No weight between FM2929 and 1 ¼ miles north of FM2929.
    Washington County, Brenham Truck Route 11-13-03 All loads must be routed around downtown Brenham by using the truck route which is: US290 w, FM577 n/w, SH36.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Washington County, City of Burton 10-18-07 No permits on the following highways:
    SP125: Between FM390 and US290.
    FM390: Between US290 and FM1697.

    This is a permanent restriction.
    Washington County, Chappell Hill area 10-05-16 Over 17’ high: The mover must contact the Washington County Maintenance Office, (979) 836-9350, prior to entering the Chappell Hill area on the following highways:
  • US290: From FM2447 to the Washington/Waller County line.
  • FM1155: Between FM1371 and 1 mile north of FM2447.


  • This restriction does not apply to permits issued as house moves.
    Washington County, US290/SH36 EB ML and SFR 08-31-17 In Brenham: 12' max width on the EB ML and SFR between ½ mile south of W.BU290 and ¼ mile east of FM389.
