Customers may pay their motor carrier fees using several payment options:
Credit cards are accepted for all
oversize/overweight permit applications. A non-refundable $1 processing fee will
be charged.
An escrow account may be opened with TxDMV to pay
for oversize/overweight permits and temporary registration. To set up an escrow
account:
- Contact the Motor Carrier Division to obtain an account number
- Complete the Letter of Agreement
- Deposit an initial sum of $305, payable by cashier's check, money order,
personal/company check or MasterCard/Visa
- If you would like to remit your payment via a wire transfer, please see wiring Instructions
- Complete the Deposit for Escrow Account payment slip
- Submit the Letter of Agreement, Deposit for Escrow Account and payment

A Permit Account Card (PAC) may be used for TxDMV
oversize/overweight fees by establishing a FirstPay account through Frost Bank
San Antonio with funds adequate to cover permit and motor carrier registration
fees. Once funds are in the account, you are issued a Permit Account Card. The
cost of this service is charged to your account. For more information, contact

Cash payments: for oversize/overweight permits are
accepted at any of 16 TxDMV Regional Service Centers.
As of Feb. 1, 2012, TxDOT offices no longer accept cash payments for OS/OW permits.
